The cells of our beautiful body store memories of past traumas and buried emotions. Such a concept is brought again so many times in the books I read. Yesterday as I was reading the book by Doctor Habib Sadeghi The clarity cleanse, it came again. How can we then get free? How can we fly from old memories and rise like a phenix?
Again, meditation is a very useful tool for recovery. Meditation helps our body to get rid of buried negative emotions, like shame and deep grief. I find it so helpful to sit with myself for 15 minutes and listen to a guided meditation. I feel my body getting cleaner. For the first time, I can really feel my body and my emotions, without trying to escape from them. By seeing past trauma and fears in the eyes, I can let go of them, release them, feel clean.
There is another amazing video of Teal Swan about addictions called “How to Overcome Addiction – Teal Swan“. Again, meditation is presented as one tool to help us recover from addictions. They seem to me like a way of escaping old and painful stuff our body stored but does not need anymore.
My favourite guided meditations are by Christophe André, available in French:
