I am deeply aware of the amazing benefits of fasting. However, whenever I prepare myself for a three-day fast, I often feel so much resistance. I am afraid of being hungry and lacking, even if I never felt hunger during a fast. Sometimes I feel weak which is normal during a fast, but I am never hungry. I am a recovered food addict or bulimic, so I kept a very strong emotional attachment to food. If this is the case for you sister, please know that you are not alone.
