Be weird be free be you #freedom of a single mother

I went back to college at 33 years old to become a lawyer. I was surrounded by 23-year-old students as I describe in my book The knot in the spiral. I know what it feels to be weird and different. I have been so exhausted by studying and taking care of the kids alone that it was not uncommon to find me in the park trying to rest my body while the children were playing. I am weird. I am different. But I am free. Let’s be weird sister. Whatever they say.
