Two middle-aged men helped me tremendously since I arrived in my new country.
They confided in me that 20 years ago, people helped them when they were in France and were strangers like I am in their country today.
Today they feel like giving part of what they received back then.
I also recall this amazing woman who helped me escape a toxic relationship many years ago.
I felt bad at the time because while I was receiving so much help I could not give anything back. I was exhausted and depleted during that time.
She whispered to me: “One day you will give too“.
Even if we did not give to the person who helped us, we can always give today to another person and feel part of this beautiful giving chain. Receiving with grace and giving with pleasure.
