What the final scene of The Lover taught me about love #purity and not settling

I believe settling in a relationship is a very dangerous and detrimental trap for both parties involved. Purity of feelings should never be abandoned for the sake of so-called security. You deserve more my friend my sister. You deserve the best. Don’t settle for security. Even if it means you have to wait, wait for the best because life can bring it to you. This includes sincere relationships.

Moreover, the final scene of the movie The Lover (L’Amant in French) taught me that settling can bring so much pain, because pure love truly lasts forever. There is nothing worse than loving someone but marrying someone else, as in an arranged marriage, or to please parents or conform to societal norms. Love is forever. Another reason not to settle for anything less.
