Dedication to Catherine
What do you do when you can no longer make a decision?
Dear Catherine, you cannot make a bad choice unless you deviate from your internal morals. This inner righteousness consists of three parts:
1. to be able to look yourself in the eyes or not
2. to forget to impress others and people-please or not
3. to respect the children or not
So sincerely, be reassured, I’m sure you’re in line with your inner peace. Take a path, it will perhaps lead you to an unsuspected place even better than you could have imagined my friend my sister.
Living without the need to impress others
A beautiful discovery thanks to Dominique is “Yazemeenah Rossi”.
Working on yourself = navel-gazing?
I fell off my chair reading that personal development could be considered navel-gazing. What would the great Don Miguel Ruiz, author of the books The Four Agreements and The Mastery of Love, from which I did the reviews: “The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom – 10 books to rebuild our life Series – 9” and “There is four people instead of two within a relationship: lessons from the book The mastery of love”.
Frankly, working on ourselves simply means not dumping our emotional garbage on others.
I don’t understand how we can treat others with the respect due to them without first working on ourselves, on self-knowledge, the first Socratic imperative that is still relevant today.
By knowing myself, by being aware of my qualities and my faults, I can behave with others in a more intelligent way, without knee-jerk reaction but with wisdom.
Not working on oneself, not questioning oneself, not questioning the origin of one’s wounds and suffering seems to me to be the path of ease and laziness. It requires an enormous amount of courage to face one’s shadowy areas and inner wounds.
“Emotion precedes thought”
This nice quote is from a very interesting interview on quantum physics (if you understand French) “Créez l’année 2021 avec l’aide de votre “Double Quantique” avec Philippe Bobola”.
