I have no preconceived ideas about how love shall be. One of my student is having a distance relationship with her man and they see each other for 2 weeks every 6 weeks.
However they both refuse to see it as permanent and are building their respective careers to be able to live in the same country very soon.
Of course some essential rules may be established to preserve the relationship, like calling each other by skype or whatsapp every day (seeing the face of the other, not only hearing the voice of course).
Nevertheless, each woman needs to be aware of who she is and what she needs. Does a distance relationship really suit you or not? Personally, I am a very tactile person who really needs to touch the man I love and feel his arms around me. Also I live with smells. I need to breathe the man I love, not only feel his warmth. So long-distance relationships hurt too much.
