What happened?

I have been sick for a whole month. But this has never happened to me.

I have given birth twice without an epidural and I take cold showers. Yet this time, I was crying in pain.

What did this difficult time teach you?

Being sick for a month taught me the importance of taking extra care of myself by taking breaks.

But it’s obvious!

Of course taking breaks is the basis of a balanced life, but how many self-employed women and possibly mothers as well don’t have time to take a break?

On a pragmatic level, what does your break look like?

Sincerely my friend my sister, I sometimes force myself to stop my work and lie down while listening to a 20 minute meditation. I come away refreshed.

The lesson

Take care of yourself. Add one break per day to your calendar and honor this moment dedicated to you.

You are nothing! You have nothing! Everybody is going to make fun of you, you are so ridiculous, all alone with your two kids. You are stupid and worthless.

Sounds familiar? I was told on a regular basis I was nothing. Yet, I mustered enough courage to leave the toxic relationship I was trapped into. I have written a whole book about it so you do not fall into the same traps I did my friend my sister.

So today, I have an invitation for you. Can you please shut down the voice of others? Just for a little while? I was told I was nothing and I almost believed it. So you are not alone. Do not feel guilty if you feel you are nothing. Just go. Move on. One step after the other.

Do not overthink it and move. Do something. Move your body. I promise that at some point you will realize your inner worth. You will understand that you are something and people can talk around you all they want, it is not going to change anything about it. And I love you my friend my sister.
